About FBC Albany

     FBC Albany is associated with the Southern Baptist Convention of Texas.  We are also a member of the Tri-County Baptist Assembly.  We have a contemporary blended worship style.

     

      Albany is a small, rural, agricultural based community with strong faith ties.  Our average attendance is 110 with an active membership of 200 or so.  FBC was constituted in 1882 and our fiscal year begins in January.

 

     We believe that Christ offers the gift of salvation to all.  We witness to everyone, knowing that anyone can potentially be saved if he or she will only confess to being a sinner, repent, and trust in Jesus.  Each person decides whether or not to trust in Christ for salvation.

    

 

     We believe that the congregation and pastor should work together in handling the responsibilities of the church.  This is done through church-wide business meetings and through committees elected by the congregation.
